Agree the scope with the supervisor
Before using AI for an assignment, read the course rules and ask which uses are permitted. Preliminary research, linguistic review and content generation may be treated differently. Do not assume that a permitted use in one course applies for the whole university.
Use it to focus questions
You can ask for objections to a hypothesis, keywords to search or possible structures. Consider them proposals to be evaluated with readings. A good research question must be sustainable with available time, data and methods. The system cannot certify that it is original or that no one has already addressed it.
Build the bibliography from documents
Search in catalogues and databases accessible via the library. Open and read sources before citing them. AI can help you organise already verified references, but you must recheck author, year, title and required style. Do not insert a citation just because it fits well in a paragraph.
Protect research materials
Do not upload identifiable interviews, personal data or confidential results to unauthorised services. Agree with supervisor and relevant structures which tools to use. Work on shareable extracts and keep a record of changes. A generated paraphrase does not eliminate the need to cite another person's idea.
Review and make the process recognisable
Have unclear passages pointed out before asking for rewrites. Check that the revision does not change meaning, data or degree of certainty of conclusions. To declare AI use, follow local guidelines: you can keep notes of tool, period, activities and interested parties. a university's recommendations are an example, not a universal prescription.
01 / A PRACTICAL CASE
Try it in your session.
You are preparing a thesis on study habits. The system helps you formulate keywords and identify unclear passages in your draft; readings, method choice, analysis and responsibility for conclusions remain yours.
02 / THE PROMPT TO ADAPT
I propose this research question: [question]. Do not write the thesis or invent sources. Help me identify ambiguities, field limitations and keywords to search in catalogues. Ask me what materials and methods I have available. Propose three questions to discuss with the supervisor, distinguishing verified facts from hypotheses.
03 / NOW, WITHOUT AI
The reasoning remains yours.
Explain in five sentences: question, method, sources, main limitation and provisional conclusion. Check that every bibliographic reference corresponds to a document read.
