Privacy and personal data
Information about personal data processing when browsing IAnews24 and contacting the newsroom.
Updated: 30 October 2026
Controller and contacts
The data controller is Ital Communications Società Benefit a Responsabilità Limitata, Via Antonio Gramsci 36, 00197 Rome, Italy; tax and VAT ID 13700601001; REA RM–1466711. Certified email: italcommunicationssrl@legalmail.it. For data protection enquiries and rights requests: media@ianews24.com. AELLE Media Group is the group brand; the controller is the company identified above.
Browsing and security
Page requests involve technical data, such as IP address, time, requested URL and browser information. These are used to deliver the site and protect its security and availability. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in operating a functional and secure information service; legally required processing relies on applicable legal obligations. You do not need to provide a name or email address to read articles.
Email and editorial submissions
When you email the newsroom, you provide your email address, message and any attachments or contact details you choose to include. Attilio Lombardi manages the mailbox on behalf of the company. Enquiries about potential services are handled for pre-contractual steps requested by the individual; other enquiries and submissions rely on the legitimate interest in maintaining relations with readers and sources. Rights requests are handled to meet data protection obligations. Sending a submission does not automatically subscribe you to promotional communications.
Retention of communications
Communications are retained for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry or submission. Unnecessary emails are also deleted from the trash, subject to legal obligations, documented editorial needs or protection of rights. Copies may remain in provider backups until those copies expire: deletion from the mailbox does not immediately remove every backup copy. No guaranteed seven- or fourteen-day deletion period is stated. For the criteria applied to a particular communication, contact media@ianews24.com.
Chat and quiz: processing in your browser
“Ask IAnews24” is a local search of site content, not a conversation sent to an external generative model. Questions and answers are held in page memory and are not sent by the component to an AI service or recorded in an application database. Clear them with “New chat”, by reloading or by closing the page; minimising the chat does not clear them. Quiz answers also remain in the page. This description does not cover technical data from normal web requests. Avoid entering confidential or third-party information.
Providers, recipients and infrastructure
The public website is published through Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. SiteGround manages the domain and email through a Cloud service contracted by Ital Communications. Technical operation may involve data access by providers and authorised personnel within the scope of necessary activities. Data may be disclosed to authorities or professional advisers where required by law or for protection of rights. The public pages are not hosted on the SiteGround web space associated with the mailbox.
Processing agreement for the published site
The specific ChatGPT Sites terms provide a data processing agreement for the published site. The ChatGPT Sites DPA distinguishes hosted data from the prompts, files and conversations used to create or edit the site. For users in the European Economic Area it identifies OpenAI Ireland Ltd as the contracting party and provides safeguards for transfers as described in the agreement, including standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions. The controller’s documentary review also covers its relationship with the publication-account operator.
Locations and infrastructure information
The specific email location and activation of Backup Premium remain unconfirmed. The Sites DPA describes technical and usage data categories and general service duration, but does not establish an exact number of days for each log of this site. The Cloudflare technical cookie __cf_bm was detected in HTTP responses; the provider’s documentation notes possible processing in the United States. We do not claim that all data remains in Italy or the EU. For clarification and available documentation: media@ianews24.com.
Journalistic activity and published data
Articles may contain names, roles, statements and images relevant to the news, sourced from public documents, interviews or submitted materials. Editorial processing is distinct from technical site operation and is subject to the rules applicable to freedom of information and data protection in journalism. Public availability does not authorise every reuse. Contact the newsroom for corrections or requests concerning published content; each request is assessed in context, without automatic publication or deletion.
Rights and complaints
Where applicable under the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Email media@ianews24.com; proportionate information may be requested to verify identity. Requests are normally answered within one month, with a reasoned extension where permitted by the GDPR. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority or another competent authority. Rights are not absolute and may be limited, including in relation to freedom of information.
Provision of data and automated decisions
Providing data by email is optional; without the necessary information we may be unable to respond or assess a submission. Local search and the quiz do not make decisions with legal effects on individuals and are not used by the site to profile readers. Changes to this notice are identified by its revision date.
